| A record 129,000 attendees converged on the 2004 Consumer Electronics Show and saw the introduction of new lines of GPS handhelds, GMRS/FRS two-way radios and radar detectors.
Attendees were drawn to the new Cobra SKYNAV in-vehicle navigation units with the unique ability to beam addresses from a PDA, internal gyroscope that continues tracking a vehicle's progress in tunnels and industry leading 5.2" inch screen. These "plug and go" devices do not require CDs or computer downloads. Some other highlights from CES: - The SKYNAV 3000 mobile navigation system won the Innovation Award for "Best in Mobile Electronics" - A new 10-mile range two-way radio with integrated digital compass and clock - The GPS 1000 DLX handheld unit with Rand McNally StreetFinder mapping was unveiled - Premium radar detectors can now detect the latest gun technology, K & KA POP modes More info about Cobra new products: http://www.cobra.com/ |
