| Novel Text Entry Technology for PDAs/mobile devices |
||
EXideas (http://www.exideas.com) a Silicon Valley start up ExIdeas has released its newest product, Fat Finger MessagEase which enables the users to enter full text using a single finger and a very small touch-sensitive PDA area. Based on ExIdeas’ innovative text entry technology, Fat Finger MessagEase uses only 11 keys for full text entry. Since each key is fairly large, it can be comfortably operated with a finger, and since the keyboard it has fewer keys, the total area required is about 1/5 of that of a QWERTY keyboard. Designed to simplify text entry on cell phones, MessagEase has been implemented in three popular PDA text entry products. It simplifies text entry by using a combination of taps and directional drags on only 11 keys, yet it lets you enter all characters found on a regular computer keyboard. |
