Compex, a rising worldwide leader in the networking and connectivity industry, today launched the official gateway to a brand new Internet Content Filtering Service option provided on Compex NetPassage series Broadband routers. Content Filtering will provide users at home, school, or work more control and flexibility over the type of content viewed on the Internet from their home, office or classroom. Available as of May 2003, Compex makes this filtering service widely affordable to all Compex customers by launching a gateway to subscription service with partner 8e6 Technologies through the Compex website at www.cpx.comCompex has partnered with 8e6 Technologies, a privately held software and hardware developer specializing in Internet Filtering and Reporting (IFR) solutions, to provide the Internet Content Filtering service as an upgradeable option on Compex Broadband Routers. The Compex models compatible with the 8e6 service include Compex NetPassage 15B, 15BR, 15C, 15D, 16, 16A and networking solutions packages such as the NetPassage 16 Bundle and the SKW811 Wireless Starter Kit. Affordable yearly subscriptions are now being offered by 8e6 with a range of package options available to meet specific needs. For a small home network of up to three users, the yearly subscription for Content Filtering service is an affordable US$99 per year. Costs are dependent on the number of network computers in which a user chooses to activate filtering. The largest package option is perfect for business networks with up to 250 users. |
