pic Personal digital assistants are losing ground to smartphones, and will have to adapt if they are to maintain a market presence, says a new report from researchers In-Stat/MDR, Multimedia and Wireless Functionality: Changing the Way Consumers Perceive PDAs.

The report finds that while PDAs will see a relatively robust 18.3 percent compound annual growth rate (CAGR) over the next five years, the high point of that growth will be this year.
