WASHINGTON - NASA has released the basic requirements for a new space vehicle for missions to and from the International Space Station. The plans call for a space plane designed to transport a crew of four more safely, more cheaply and with less preparation time than the shuttle. "These initial requirements help to outline a comprehensive system that will significantly complement the capabilities of our existing Space Shuttle fleet," said NASA Deputy Administrator Frederick Gregory in a release. http://www.cbc.ca/stories/2003/02/19/space_plane030219 |
