| Palm Chess Program Defeats Chess Grandmaster 3-1 in match |

The Palm HIARCS 9.5a chess program defeated chess grandmaster Jan Gustaffson by a 3-1 margin in a chess match held Jan 22-24. HIARCS ran on a Zire 72 overclocked to 520 MHz. Each side had 30 minutes + 10 seconds/move to think.
