Kingston Adds USB Flash Memory Drive to Digital Media Line
Kingston(R) Technology Company, Inc. today introduced the newest addition to its digital media product line, Data Traveler(TM). Data Traveler is Kingston's first USB flash memory solution and is immediately available in 32MB, 64MB, and 128MB capacities.

The Data Traveler's small form factor (2.9 inches x 0.94 inches) and plug and play technology makes it the latest digital media solution to combine high storage capacity with portability and fast data transfer rates. Data Traveler is a portable flash drive that combines the speed of a memory chip with the portability of a compact disk, all in a device the size of a thumb.

By simply plugging the Data Traveler into your system's USB port, the Data Traveler will appear as a separate hard drive on your system, thus allowing for easy data transfers. The USB flash device operates with the latest operating systems supporting USB interface 1.1 and 2.0 (full speed mode). Drivers are not needed for the Data Traveler on operating systems except Windows(R) 98 (drivers included for Windows 98).

"In response to our customer's needs, Kingston analyzed the potential of a USB flash product. Kingston is confident that the Data Traveler will fulfill the increasing need within the IT community for an excellent data transfer and storage solution," said Mike Kuppinger, product manager, digital media products, Kingston. "To further Kingston's support of the digital media market, Data Traveler will be the first USB flash memory product to be added to Kingston's extensive digital media line. Kingston will be launching additional USB flash solutions in 2003," continued Kuppinger.

Kingston's Data Traveler Part Number and Specifications:
Part Number: Capacity: $ MSRP (U.S. Dollars)
- KUSB/32 32MB $ 42.00
- KUSB/64 64MB $ 56.00
- KUSB/128 128MB $ 92.00

The Data Traveler is backed by a five-year warranty and free technical support. All of Kingston's digital media products are offered through Kingston's traditional channel of distributors, resellers, e-tailers.
