Infinity Softworks Inc., a leading
provider of calculator and analysis software applications, announced today
that version 2 of its popular powerOne(TM) Personal general-purpose
calculator will be bundled with new versions of Palm(tm) and Sony handheld
computers. powerOne Personal takes the complexity out of every day
calculations through the use of an innovative template format that makes
significant use of Palm and Sony's color displays, high resolution graphics
and jog dial.
Version 2 supports add-on calculation and display modules that have only been available in Infinity Softworks' high end products. These modules enable users to customize the calculator to match their individual needs. The original version of powerOne Personal has been distributed by Palm and Sony for the past several years, making it the number one distributed software calculator for handheld computers. Popular for its simple user interface and every day calculations, users can now expand the product with new calculation templates. Seven free template sets are available for download. They include calculations for investments, financing, home repair, shopping, health & fitness, advanced mathematics, unit conversions, and area & volume analysis. In addition, users who want to personalize the calculator can now choose from 12 different button layouts that include color themes and customizable buttons. On installation, powerOne Personal comes with math, business, and general functions such as tip, sales tax, markup, and percent change computations. Date calculation, a calculation log, a single memory location, and advanced math functions are also included. "powerOne Personal was designed for everyone to use, even those who might be intimidated by a calculator," commented Elia Freedman, CEO of Infinity Softworks.
