Aligo Announces New Release of Mobile Access for Groupware
Aligo Inc., a global leader in mobile software solutions, today announced enhancements to its Mobile Access offering, the most comprehensive mobile groupware application available today for email, contacts, calendar and tasks. The new release of Mobile Access supports nearly all devices ranging from basic Internet enabled phones to intelligent devices such as Pocket PCs, Palm, SmartPhones, and RIM/Blackberry, providing the ultimate flexibility for corporate users. In addition, Aligo uniquely simplifies complex multiple groupware infrastructures, such as those with Microsoft Exchange, Lotus Notes, Sun ONE, Novell, Oracle's Steltor, and IMAP4/POP3/SMTP mail servers in connected (real-time) and disconnected (synchronized) access methods.

The newest release of Mobile Access, generally available immediately, aims to make mobile access to emails and calendar a standard business productivity tool for all employees of the enterprise. Specifically, the new features deliver the most feature-rich, secure, scalable mobile solution with easy support and maintenance at an unbeatable purchase price, keeping total cost of ownership very low. Mobile Access features include innovative capabilities that:

1) Use speech recognition to create meetings and tasks in Microsoft
Outlook when away from a computer. By placing a call from any
phone, Mobile Access figures out what was stated and enters a new
task, meeting, or note to remember into Outlook automatically;

2) Deliver standards-based security using Secure Sockets Layer (SSL)
and Virtual Private Network (VPN) technology to enhance encryption
and ensure authentication, fully integrated and certified with RSA
SecurID -- the most robust security measure offered today;

3) Provide integrated access for multiple groupware applications such
as Steltor Calendar and SunOne Messaging running on Solaris, Linux
or Windows to multiple devices including RIM/Blackberry, Palm and
Pocket PCs within the enterprise; and

4) Localize to seven different languages without the need to have seven
different instances -- Mobile Access can be set, per user, to
whatever language is wanted, wherever the user is around the globe.

"Aligo clearly addresses the challenges of mobilizing the enterprise. Their Mobile Access product solves critical problems in enterprise mobility that few others can attempt to. Aligo offers the most robust mobility solutions available today for building and running wireless applications," said J. Gerry Purdy, Ph.D. principal analyst, MobileTrax. "The value that Aligo brings to its customers such as Swinerton and Inter-Tel, by delivering a scalable product that fits the absolute needs of the multi-national enterprise -- regardless of type of device, number of groupware applications, type of network or carrier, language support, and corporate security standards is unmatched in the industry."

"There is no reason today that every employee, regardless of rank or function, should not have mobile access to corporate emails, contacts and calendar," said Robert Smith, president and chief executive officer of Aligo. "With the advent of mobile technology today, low purchase and maintenance costs, and the benefits and convenience that hundreds of thousands have already experienced firsthand, our customers wonder how they ever survived without mobile email and calendar access. Mobile Access has demonstrated to be a true productivity tool that is practical for how worldwide businesses operate today."
