Intellisync for SyncML successfully completed SyncML Conformance and Interoperability Testing in September 2002 at SyncFest in Las Vegas, Nev., and is now officially recognized as being SyncML-compliant. Pumatech is a member of the Open Mobile Alliance (OMA), a consortium of companies and standards bodies – including the SyncML Initiative Ltd. – that have joined forces with the goal of removing barriers to interoperability and accelerating the development and adoption of new technologies. NEC TO OFFER INTELLISYNC FOR SYNCML WITH ITS MOBILE HANDSETS Pumatech also announced that NEC Corporation will begin offering Pumatech’s Intellisync for SyncML software with selected mobile handsets in 2003. By providing either Intellisync Lite software or the full version of Intellisync with its products worldwide, NEC is enabling synchronization of calendar and contact data between its SyncML-compliant devices and desktop-based PC applications such as Microsoft Outlook.
