New PocketMac iPod Edition(TM) brings Outlook 2000/XP Contacts, Calendar, Task features to Windows (& Mac) iPod users
Information Appliance Associates announces the release of PocketMac iPod Edition(TM), a new tool for Mac & Windows systems allowing iPod owners to sync their contacts, calendars, tasks, notes, & documents with their iPods.

"Most iPod owners don't realize that the iPod has the same basic functionality as a PDA," Terence Goggin, CTO of Information Appliance Associates said. "Specifically, the iPod has built-in tools for viewing contacts, calendars, tasks, and notes. That's why we created PocketMac iPod Edition(TM)--to allow iPod users to truly maximize their iPod experience."

PocketMac iPod Edition(TM) converts and copies users' Outlook data -- Contacts, Calendar, Tasks, Notes, and Email -- to the iPod's built-in formats for viewing such data.

Goggin continued, "This is the perfect solution for users who want more out of their iPod besides an excellent digital music device. With PocketMac iPod Edition(TM), iPod users now have a PDA as well as a great entertainment device."

Another great feature of PocketMac iPod Edition(TM) is its ability to convert and copy text, rich-text, and Microsoft Word documents to the iPod's built-in note viewer.

"We all know how important it is to have our key documents with us. And with the PocketMac iPod Edition(TM), users can now access those files directly from their iPod, too," Goggin added.

The most unique feature of this software is that iPod users get 2 programs--both the Windows & Mac versions--for the price of 1.

Goggin concluded, "This is the ultimate iPod add-on -- it ensures users get full use of their iPod even if they never knew their iPod doubled as a PDA. From Word docs to contacts and more, this is a unique iPod tool. And unlike most iPod software, it's available on both Windows & Mac, offering true cross-platform compatibility and power."

PocketMac iPod Edition(TM) for Windows runs on Windows XP/2000 and requires iTunes 4.x and Outlook 2000 or better. PocketMac iPod Edition(TM) for Mac runs on OS X 10.2.6 and above and requires iTunes 4.x and Entourage 10.1.4. All models of iPod are supported.
