||
Who’s ever wished for a better stylus for their iPAQ? Probably a lot of us. On this journey myself I’ve tried at least 8-10 different ones ranging from the combo pen/stylus, the finger stylus (that didn’t last long), a couple of different light-up ones, and even just cheaper versions of the stock one.
The thing about styli is, though I did like some of the others, I always gravitated towards the ones that fit in the iPAQ. There is a simple reason for this… I didn’t lose them that way. So what would happen is I would have this new fancy stylus and end up not using it half the time because I couldn’t find it.Along comes the Proporta 3 in 1. Know what one of the best things about it is? It fits right in the iPAQ where I’m not going to lose it. But, get this; it only gets better from there. A quick look at the features on their website http://www.proporta.com/detail.asp?id=374 shows that the basic rundown is a metallic stylus that contains a reset pin, a writing pen, and a nylon tip.One thing that I really like about this stylus is that it has an extremely good feel to it. It weighs probably about twice as much as the all nylon stock variety and is very well balanced. The writing tip is very smooth, and doesn’t have any noticeable seams at all (which I have noticed on others). The back of it pops off easily, but also holds plenty tight, and exposes a pen with a removable shaft, so it could be refilled. Another feature I’d like to point out for people who fidget a lot (and I’m really big on this), is that the nylon or rubber ball on the top end of it is nice and bouncy, and I find myself bouncing this well-balanced stylus on my desk quite often, to the chagrin of anyone in the room. All in all this is a great stylus, worth the money, and will most likely never be leaving my iPAQ’s side. Robert Hartley Technology Editor | ||
