Phone cases come in a vast range of price and quality to fit every phone available. Most people just want a phone case to provide protection for their wireless phone. There is no shortage of phone cases to do that job. Most, however will not do the job as elegantly and thoroughly as the KRUSELL case from Sweden.

Today I will look at leather cases for the T610, Nokia 3650 and 7250i from KRUSELL of Sweden. The cases are made of very high quality buffalo/Nappa leather to provide ultra-high protection. The inside of the case is covered with a fine velvety material so as not to damage your investment. The folks at Krusell have really demonstrated an attention to detail to produce a case with a tight fit and carefully designed it to avoid making the phone bulky. In addition, the cases are equipped with a top quality zipper and include holes for easy connection to car chargers, portable hands free equipment and vital buttons. The front of each case is covered in a durable, yet very pliable, clear plastic which allowed for easy access to the buttons. The T610 case even had a cut out for access to the joy stick.

I have been using these cases for about two months. In the past I have found that a case will last only a few weeks before I take it off the phone because it interferes too much with the buttons or makes the phone too bulky. These cases fit so well, that I have not bothered to take the phones out the cases except to swap my SIM between the various phones during the test period. The cases are also very durable and after two months so no noticeable wear.

Ok, they fit great, their durable but how do they look? All cases for this review are designed in cooperation with the manufacturers of the French fashion houses Kenzo and Yves Saint Laurent. They are produced in exclusive Nappa leather and equipped with the Multidapt® system. (I’ll elaborate on the Mulidapt® system later.) The case adds to the overall appeal of the phone instead of detracting from it. The cases have both an exclusive unique look and feel to them. Again, the cases do not detract from the phone, they add to it. This is rare for any case.

How about added functionality? Here’s where I’ll elaborate on the Mulidapt® system. How many times have you purchased a leather case and thought to yourself, ‘Gosh, I sure wish I could; a) mount this on my dash b) just slide in on my belt c) get a metal spring loaded clip so that my phone would not fall off my belt when I get in/out of my car of or d) didn’t have to buy 4 different cases? That’s were the beauty of the Mulidapt® system comes in.

Krusell is the thinking persons’ case. They developed a system to allow easy swapping of the clip instead of swapping the whole case. The mechanism is durable and easy to use. The folks at Krusell have put a great deal of thought into their products to provide the maximum in value, durability, fit and style. That pretty much sums it up.

So what didn’t I like about the cases? Overall, there isn’t much not to like about them. Until you get to the price. The basic kit will include a slide on belt clip with the phone case. Taking full advantage of the Mulidapt® system will cost a few extra dollars, but it is a good investment. The Slide Swivel kit will run between five and seven dollars. The car mount and bike mount kit should go for less than twelve dollars each. No other leather case gives you the flexibility of Krusell, and the kits are optional. I found the availability of the Mulidapt® kits an added value despite the cost.

The Krusell cases have plenty of style, quality leather, and added functionality. They are available through many retailers on the Internet for those not living in Europe.

A basic case with slide on clip is typically priced at $24.95 plus shipping. When factoring price, adaptability, durability and style into the equation, Krusell cases earn a solid 5 out 5 five stars.
