Proporta 3G iPhone Case and Screen Protector Reviews
Ok, you’ve made the leap to buy that little gem of technology - the iPhone. Some may argue about whether or not the iPhone is really the best phone under the sun, however, chances are if you bought one you love it. But, now that you’ve dropped $200-$300 on your new phone dark thoughts start to enter your mind that make your blood run cold. What if you scratch it or worse drop it? What if you dropped it face down in gravel? Yikes! Time to start thinking about cases. Proporta offers several options to put your mind to rest. Below is a summary of several current offerings I have taken for a real world test: Description: A clear, thin iPhone shaped film with a matte finish and holes for the speaker and main multi-function button. It is designed to adhere to your iPhone screen for protection. Pros: Cons: Description: Similar to the Advanced Screen Protector, the Echo Mirror Screen Protector also adheres to the front of the iPhone for protection. However, as the name implies it has a glossy, mirrored finish. Pros: Cons: Description: Two layers of silicone skin slip over the back, sides and lower front of the iPhone like neoprene over a surfer. Holes in the sides of outer layer allow you to see a contrasting color layer underneath - a slick design feature that not only looks good, but also provides for a better grip to the sides of the phone. A hole in the bottom of the case allows for insertion of the charging and syncing cable, however, as thin as it is, it must still be removed for insertion into a dock. Cons: Description: The Alu-Leather Edge features a leather front and back with an aluminum core and neoprene lined side clasps to cradle and protect your iPhone. The side clasps come halfway up the device allowing access to the volume controls and the front and back are attached together with a slender piece of leather over the top of the phone, which also leaves the headphone port and on/off switch available for use. A hole in the bottom of the case allows for insertion of the charging and syncing cable, however, as with most cases, it must be removed for insertion into a dock. Pros: Cons: By: Sara Klein
