| You'll notice the old chips laying upside down, next to the PCBA. These are Ball Grid Array (BGA) chips which instead of having metal leads coming out the side of the chip that you solder onto the motherboard, there are little solder balls that are underneath the chip. We use specialized equipment to align and then reflow the chips onto the motherboard.
