Palm Urges PDA Owners to Trade Up
imagePalm is offering handheld users a $50 rebate when they throw out their old and rival-brand handhelds and switch to the company's Tungsten and Zire models as part of a Promotion launched Tuesday.

The "Trade Up" program runs through July 14 and offers users $50 off the Palm Tungsten T, Tungsten C, Tungsten W, and Zire 71 handhelds, which normally range in price from $299 to $549.

The promotion is meant to underscore the results of competitive tests commissioned by Palm, in which it says its new lineup of consumer and business models have held their own against competitors in terms of download speed, battery life, storage, and other features.
