Sony Ericsson and JP Mobile Collaborate to Make Wireless E-mail Easy for Corporate IT and Mobile Professionals
CTIA -- JP Mobile(R) (http://www.jpmobile.com/ ), a leading provider of enterprise mobility software, today announced its partnership with Sony Ericsson by which the two companies will jointly market JP Mobile's SureWave(R) Mobile Connect Wireless E-mail subscription service featuring the Sony Ericsson P910a smartphone.

SureWave Mobile Connect is a wireless e-mail subscription service hosted by JP Mobile that provides mobile professionals with a direct, fast, and affordable way to receive their corporate Microsoft Outlook(R) e-mail and personal information management (PIM) data on SureWave-enabled mobile devices.

Sony Ericsson will support the client component of JP Mobile's SureWave Mobile Office, a secure, wireless e-mail / (PIM) solution, on the popular Sony Ericsson P910a smartphone. JP Mobile and Sony Ericsson will co-market the SureWave-enabled phones and SureWave Mobile Connect wireless e-mail subscription service to enterprise customers and mobile professionals, as well as to service providers, leading carriers and hosting service providers.

"By bundling the SureWave-enabled P910a with an affordable, easy-to- activate subscription service, we're providing corporate IT and mobile professionals with what amounts to an out-of-the-box, turnkey solution for wireless e-mail," said Gregor Bleimann, head of Enterprise Business for Sony Ericsson. "We believe the time is right for an easy, affordable wireless e-mail solution such as SureWave Mobile Connect on the P910 smartphone, and we anticipate an enthusiastic response from businesses and mobile professionals who want wireless e-mail but have been put off by the cost and hassle of currently available solutions."

To activate a wireless e-mail account on the Sony Ericsson P910a smartphone, mobile professionals simply visit JP Mobile's SureWave Mobile Connect portal (http://www.surewave.com/ ), enter their Outlook Web Access path and Exchange Domain name, and within minutes they can receive wireless push and synchronization of Microsoft Outlook e-mail/PIM data from their corporate or ASP/ISP Exchange server(1).

"Our goal is to make wireless e-mail as easy as possible for corporate IT and mobile professionals. SureWave Mobile Connect represents a major stride toward this goal," said Dayakar Puskoor, JP Mobile founder and CEO. "We are extremely pleased to feature the popular Sony Ericsson P910a smartphone in our SureWave Mobile Connect offering. Only by eliminating cost and complexity will wireless e-mail achieve ubiquity. We're working closely with leading device manufactures such as Sony Ericsson to make this happen by providing a simple, one-stop shop for wireless e-mail."

The SureWave Mobile Connect service costs $12.95/month. For a limited time, JP Mobile will offer mobile professionals a free 30-day trial of SureWave Mobile Connect(2).
