pic Red Mercury, LLC, today announced the release of AcidImage 2.4 with ARM native support and new security features. AcidImage, a leading image viewer application for Palm OS, runs on all Palm Powered handhelds. Palm OS 5 users will notice significant performance increase with AcidImage 2.4. New security features enable users to manage public and private access to image files and image groups.

AcidImage utilizes full ARMlet support for regular and progressive JPEGs. JPEG image files now load 10 to 20 times faster on OS 5 devices such as the Tungsten and Clie NX series.

Added security features include the option to mark selected images and image groups private and require password access. Users also have the option to hide or mask private images files.
