Portable Software Puts Travel Information on Smart Phones, PDAs
In a move to increase support for mobile users, EmergeCore Networks, a leading provider of hardware and software solutions for Small to Medium Businesses (SMB), introduced the new Traveler tool for the new Smart Phone Technology. EmergeCore introduced the Traveler module in conjunction with the launch of the expanded IT-500 IT IN A BOX(R) all-in-one network appliance today.

EmergeCore's Traveler is a portable software module that Smart Phone users can download at no charge. The software is also integrated in the new IT-500 and is available as a no-cost upgrade to customers currently using the IT-100 network appliance.

"The Traveler module allows EmergeCore to offer mobile users and SMB customers a value that is absolutely new to the marketplace," said Dave Brown, EmergeCore president and CEO. "We consider the SMB market a rich and growing industry that is in great need of innovative technology that is inexpensive and simple to use. Traveler helps us meet both of these criteria."

With Traveler, users can manage their hotels, flights and rental cars from any smart phone device. Future upgrades to Traveler will support standard PDA devices as well. Businesses can use Travel to keep their field employees up to date (or travel agencies can update their customers directly) with travel itinerary changes. The module allows employees to enter and manage expense report data.

In addition to travel information, the module also allows employees to use their smart phone devices to check and respond to their e-mail through the IT IN A BOX Web Mail System as well.
