I really thought Tablet PC would be the device of choice but it starting to look like PDA based systems are getting the spotlight in vertical markets like healthcare. I think the TCO (Total Cost of Ownership) may have something to with that. It’s far cheaper to deploy a raft of PDA’s in a doctors office at $500ish a piece as opposed to $2000 per Tablet PC, then there is the size issue, the PDA is just easier to wield and has superior battery life. | |
